CHALLENGE :: Cell phones now do much more than just transmit the human voice. With text messaging and gaming functions now loaded into the tiny handsets, the keypad buttons — or dome switches — have to be far more durable.

SOLUTION :: Our Cannon engineers developed an innovative dome shape that — on paper — takes on less stress, and our production personnel were able to transfer the drawing to the punch press. The result: a stainless steel dome switch capable of withstanding 2.5 million actuations, more than twice as many as anything else on the market today.
