CHALLENGE :: Airports love electric luggage trucks and tractors because they reduce noise and air pollution, but the charging process can be a real chore. Most new “fast charging” technology requires big connectors, which need big muscle to engage them.

SOLUTION :: During the molding process, the metal contacts on these giant plugs can become slightly misaligned. While others in the industry were looking for a way to ensure perfectly straight contacts, Roger Williams went in another direction, building a low-insertion force connector that’s forgiving of minor variations. It’s taking off at airports and military bases.
