CHALLENGE :: Testing its newest railroad cars, one of North America’s largest transit authorities discovered stability problems caused by the shock absorbers from an ITT Industries competitor. The cars couldn’t take to the tracks unless the problem was solved immediately.

SOLUTION :: A call went out to KONI®. Within two weeks, our engineers had developed prototype yaw dampers and began working non-stop testing them, in one case completely revalving the dampers overnight for a morning test run. Mission accomplished! The cars are now equipped with KONI® yaw dampers as standard equipment.
