Don Woodham Avionics

CHALLENGE :: Our Avionics business has field engineers stationed
near every U.S. military base to help service the onboard electronic
warfare systems that protect their planes. But what happens when
the base is a boat and it’s on the move for more than a year?
SOLUTION ::
A proclaimed landlubber, Don Woodham spent all of
2003 on board the USS Nimitz, the world’s largest aircraft carrier,
overseeing the service of sophisticated AN/ALQ 165 jammers
installed in the ship’s F/A-18 jet fighters. Catapulting jets off a carrier
leads to high shock loads, but with Woodham’s support, pilot protection
was never compromised.
