CHALLENGE :: Cool temperatures are critical in the production of many medicines. So when a pharmaceutical giant in Germany needed to replace its cooling system, the company thought it was facing a long-haul shutdown and high-cost switchover.

SOLUTION :: Instead of replacing the existing system, our Lowara engineers added two in-line pumps in a duty/standby configuration that, together with our patented HydrovarTM flow control system, provided constant pressure. The line was down for hours instead of days, and today the new cooling system is running with reduced energy consumption and greater reliability.
