Community Involvement and Philanthropy
One way ITT employees live our values of respect, responsibility and integrity is by giving their time, talent and resources to support worthy causes in their communities. Our company is currently exploring the development of a corporate citizenship program — along with an internal leadership council to guide all sustainability work — that will involve and engage ITT employees across the globe. This will enhance — not replace — the many local volunteerism and philanthropy efforts now underway at all our sites.
National Women's Hall of Fame
In Seneca Falls, New York — where the U.S. women's rights movement and our industrial pump business both started in 1848 — we are the founding sponsor of the National Women's Hall of Fame. The Hall is dedicated to honoring the outstanding achievements of women.
Muscular Dystrophy Association
For nearly 25 years, our Interconnect Solutions business has been raising money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association, which helps children and adults suffering from this progressive muscle-weakening disease. To date, we have collected and donated nearly $2.5 million to the organization.
Improving the Local Community
Each year, employees from our Control Technologies business take part in national Make a Difference Day in the United States. Through this event, they lend a hand to people and organizations in need in their own communities.
Helping People in Need
ITT's Motion Technology business in Barge, Italy, is helping to fund the construction of a social assistance center in its community. The center will provide local people and families in need with medical services, ambulance transport, clinical examinations, counseling services and food and clothing.
