Welcoming Words from the New "Voice" of ITT

A message from Angela Buonocore, the new vice president and director of corporate relations for ITT

I’m delighted to be a part of the ITT family. Since joining the company in early March 2007, I've been doing my best to learn about our employees, our customers, our products, our history, our results and our plans for the future. I have been privileged and proud to build my career at some of the greatest companies in the world with some of the most well-known and respected brands. 

One of the reasons I chose to join ITT was the potential of the ITT brand and the richness of this company's culture. Engineered for life is a powerful concept and we each have a role in bringing it to reality. I am very excited to be part of all you do to advance human progress. It is my responsibility and my intention to work with all of you to take our strong brand and culture and make them even stronger.

As head of corporate relations, I have responsibility for all company communications. None is more important to me than employee communications. One of my passions is business literacy … ensuring that we all understand the levers that lead to business success and how we can contribute to our company growth and progress. I want to make sure that you have the information you need from and about our company, and that you can share your opinions and thoughts about what we need to do to succeed.

Angela Buonocore's Bio

Angela Buonocore joined ITT from The Pepsi Bottling Group in Somers, New York, where she served as vice president of corporate communications since 2001. She had been with the Pepsi system since 1994 and in her most recent role was responsible for PBG's public relations objectives and strategy, and communication with the organization's 66,000 employees. She also led the company's charitable contributions and community efforts.

Her past communications experience includes 11 years at IBM and five years at General Electric in advertising, media relations, publishing, marketing events and employee communications roles. She is a member of the Wisemen and Arthur W. Page Society, both organizations of senior corporate communications executives. Buonocore holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Advertising with High Honors from the University of Florida and is also vice chair of the University's Public Relations Advisory Council.
